ITU World Championships Gold Coast - Race Report

The best triathletes in the world came together in Southport on the 12 and 13th September 09 for the Triathlon World Championships. 27 Club Croc members represented Australia in both the Olympic and Sprint distance events and Marion also represented Team Germany. Club Croc must have been the largest (and best looking !!) team at the World Championships and the opportunity to don spandex in our country’s colours was a huge achievement for all Croc stars involved – and their many supporters.

All Crocs had fantastic races – evidence of their hard work over the many months prior and the super coaching by Rod and Brad.   The fantastic support offered by the home crowd (not to mention the huge roars coming from the Croc tent) made us all swim, bike and run just that little bit faster too (at least whilst other Crocs were watching ….).The results are below    

Congratulations to all of those who competed over the weekend, and a HUGE thanks to all those that came down to cheer us all on. Thanks also to Mark ‘Brownie’ Browne and Jim Sturgess for organising the tent for us all. Check out the photos of the weekend
